Free form, average sized gunite pool with 3 hp variable speed pump (operating at moderately reduced speed). Replaced a 2 year old Navigator. The Shark moves slower than the Navigator, so it is taking noticeably longer to get everywhyere. But, still, it is getting the whole bottom done in 4 or 5 hours, which was already how long I run the pump each day. Most importantly, so far, it has been less prone to pluggage than my Navigator. Like the Navigator, it can NOT climb onto my steps. but it does a fair job climbing up and down the pool walls (but not quite as good as the Navigator did).

This Great White cleaner replaces a previous Great White pool cleaner that we used every day for 9 years. Our pool was always clean.

I spoke with several people before we purchased our Great White as we were considering this or a Barracuda. Everyone suggested this product over the Barracuda. We have been happy thus far.

I bought this pool cleaner and it has been installed now for about 3 weeks. It was very easy to install. I've had about 4 other different pool cleaners and this is by far the best so far. It cleans the entire pool and runs while the pump is on. I like that it brushes the walls and climbs all the way up to the tiles to brush and remove dirt and debris from the tiles as well. This cleaner swivels where it attaches to the hose. My other cleaners did not have the swivel attachment and the hose ended up getting twisted. With this cleaner, the hose never gets twisted around because of the swivel attachment.

I would recommend this pool cleaner. I am thinking of buy a 2nd of this same model for a backup.

This is an extremely easy to set up and operate pool cleaner. It really gets the job done in no time at all. This was the one brand our pool contractor said we should buy - and he was right again!

A simple design that does not work. It does not have enough traction on the pool bottom to climb slopes or even get out of the deep end. The shallow end gets no cleaning at all. Despite the claims, it gets hung-up on the main drains in about 5 minutes and stays there. As a robotic cleaner it is useless. [$]

Product has a piece that you can put on the robot to attach to a cleaning pole. Allows you to direct the robot in specific areas.

We are very pleased with this automatic pool cleaner. It not only vacuums, but it brushes the pool, too. The only thing we need to clean is our spa, which the Shark can't get to. It would need to be a robot that could walk to get in there! Ha!

My last cleaner would not do the entire pool and this one does. I am very happy with it except the hoses are a little difficult for me to snap together because of arthritic hands. I just call my husband.

I like watching as it climbs and cleans the walls of the pool. The pool ends up very clean and I know the walls are getting brushed as well as the pool bottom

We purchased our first Great White 5 yrs ago on the recommendation of a friend who owned a pool cleaning service. It has done a very good job, in fact it replaced my pool cleaning service. When it finally quit working, I had to replace it with a unit at least as good as the first.

I was emailed to review Pentair inline leaf canister and I see I can review the Great White as well and am supremely pleased with the Great White pool cleaner purchased 60 days ago as I have had several pools and current concrete pool has a dedicated vacuum line in a 12.500 gal 4' - 6' deep irregular angular shape and in addition to vacuuming the bottom of the entire pool very well with a nice scrubbing action it also climbs and scrubs the walls superbly all the way to the water line and above (I had a yellow cast to a long shaded wall I thought I would have to hand brush and this cleaned it in a snap) and the canister with net insert is just a bonus to collect leaves, small seeds and smaller particles to keep filter cleaner. Only irritant is minor about emptying the leaf canister and can be overcome by paying attention in that when emptying it, if cannister is not held up high enough above the water and care taken to keep the debris caught on the net's top rim or in the cannister top when opened from splashing back into the pool, surface debris easily escapes by being flushed out with surrounding water where it immediately resettles to the bottom where the Great White just vacuumed it all up. Urghhh!
