Even though the D-1000 was designed for above ground pools and states that on the package I needed a replacement for my in ground pool so i installed it. it worked perfectly when the suction rate is set properly. I have had no problems in my cement pond which is now perfectly clean.

We just rec'd the automatic cleaner and so far so good. We are new to the whole pool thing anyway and so far this has been the first thing to go right.

Service & Delivery comments:

1. I did think I would get it a little faster but it could be that I was just excited about getting it.

it's awesome although you might need extra pieces of if your pool is over 24" We ordered the pieces directly from Dirt Devil. Still well worth it because it cut our cleaning time to almost no time at all.

I have a 24 ft. above ground pool. Purchased D-2000. Worked 3 weeks with GLI tech on problems I was having. Was sent several solutions to remedy my problem, all failed. The tech sent me a new D-1000 and asked me to try this model.The new model D-1000 is in my pool right now. As soon as I hooked it up BAM !!! It started cleaning immediately. I just could not get the D-2000 to work more than a few minutes at a time. The D-1000 worked great right out of the box. It took about 5 minutes to hook it up. S o my choice is get the D-1000. Also the tech service at GLI is wonderful. They will stay with you till you are happy.

The first day we got it, I attempted to hook it up to the filter. I did not get it to work. Not sure what i was doing since the instructions were only for assembly and not operation. Having to hire someone to come show me what I am doing wrong.

I think this is the best purchase i have made in awhile. When received i was so excited to see how it worked and I was amazed. I had a different model of another brand and it would hang and not work half the time. This worked first and everytime and cleaned pool in less time and minimal assistance.
